Rooms at Aaron Shipman House

We offer visitors a choice of 6 individually decorated guest rooms, all with private bath and a fully furnished 1-bedroom apartment. We welcome children of all ages, and can provide a portable "Pack & Play" for infants.

Most rooms are set up for 2 persons. One room includes a day bed for up to 3 guests or 2 guests with separate beds. The apartment can accommodate up to 4 and seems to especially attract families, as it has full access to a kitchen. All rooms include complimentary Wireless Internet and telephone extension with free local calls and TV with cable

We have limited off street parking available by reservation for a small fee. Parking is a premium in the city, so please be sure to reserve a space if you need it with your room reservation. Second Floor Queen or Suite

This guest room is located on the second floor of the house. The room is furnished with a Queen-sized bed featuring a Select Comfort mattress, 2 armchairs, decorative fireplace and private hall bath. The hall bath includes a single person Jacuzzi tub and shower. Parties of more than 2 can add a very small room with a Double sized bed to this room for a small additional fee ($65-80). The 2 rooms would then share the hall bath.

Third Floor Guest Rooms

Most of the guest rooms at our home are located on the third floor. 2 rooms are furnished with a single Queen sized bed. Each of these rooms has an en-suite private bath. Both rooms have "Select Comfort" mattresses, allowing individual control for a firm or soft mattress.

We also have one guest room, furnished with a King sized bed, Twin sized day bed and private bath. This room can accommodate a part of 3, or 2 guests who desire separate beds. Availability and Rates

The Jacuzzi Room

Located on the third floor, this guest room includes an Queen-sized bed, decorative fireplace and private bath with 2 persons Jacuzzi tub and shower. This room also includes 2 comfortable armchairs and TV with Cable

Third Floor Double

This very small room is best suited for a single traveler, or those on a budget. The room is furnished with just a Double sized bed and night-stand. A private bath, the next door in the hall is provided with the room. The bath is shower only.

The Garden Apartment

Perfect for guests on a longer stay, families with children or those wishing for more privacy, consider our furnished, English basement apartment. This is a one bedroom unit with approximately 850 square feet of living space. The bedroom is furnished with a Queen sized bed. A full bath is located off the bedroom, and French doors from the bedroom lead to the fenced in back yard and garden of the main home. The large living room includes a sofa (converts to a Queen sized bed), love seat, large decorative fireplace, writing desk and 52 inch television with cable. The front bay window is furnished with a dining table for 4. A breakfast bar adjoins the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, garbage disposal, and all cooking and eating utensils.
